Nature education programmes are offered for children and usually take place in the form of a short hike or within a small area. Knowledge about nature as well as mindfulness and respect of the natural world are taught in a playful way. The topics include animals and plants, natural processes, soil, water, ecological relationships and much more! Awareness, knowledge, creativity, play and adventure are combined.

For groups interested in nature education (parents, grandparents, teachers, clubs,...):

Time and place or region are at your choice and are determined in agreement! It is possible that the event is organised just for your children. If desired, the event with your parameters (date, location, age group) will also be posted online at wanderbar-markus.at in order to allow other interested people to find out about it and register their children. In order to be able to organise the event and to meet the physical and mental abilities of children, children will be grouped into age groups of 3 to 4 years, 4 to 6 years (children of these two groups accompanied by at least one parent), 7 to 11 years and 11 to 14 years (these two groups unaccompanied by parents but maybe by another person). Please be aware the age of children largely matches one of these age groups.

Note: Children are very likely to get their clothes or hands and possibly (for camouflage) their face dirty during the nature education and they may get wet. Safety is at highest priority, however, scratches might happen.

Nature education programmes take place all year round and last between 1.5 and 4 hours, depending on the age of the children. They are available for German and English-speaking children. The maximum number of participants in a nature education programme is 20 children.

Nature tours have the advantage that some points can be selected. In addition, provided there is a minimum number of participants, they are priced the same as advertised tours of the same scope.
