Lake Grundlsee is an attraction on its very own. Together with the mountains of the Totes Gebirge, which characterise the north side of the lake, and the forest-covered hills and mountains on the south side of the lake, it forms a fantastic stage for relaxation, enjoyment and leisure. The clear water is also ideal for swimming and it is a good idea to pack swimwear so that you can refresh yourself in the lake after the tour.

Our hike starts at the public lido in Gößl. It takes us along the south side of the lake, partly close to the lake, and always offers views over the beauty of the surrounding mountains.

This tour includes asphalt roads, sandy paths and forest trails. A good level of fitness is required to walk the stated distance and vertical metres!

A stop for refreshments during the tour is not planned!

At the end of the tour, at the Grundlsee tourist information office, there are several options for returning to the starting point. Bus route 956 (Grundlsee Seeklause - Gößl lido),  Lake Grundlsee Navigation or as a third option you may take part in the subsequent hike along the northern side of Lake Grundlsee, which ends at the lido in Gößl (10% discount for those who have already joined the hike on the southern side).

Note: If the weather or other circumstances make it difficult or impossible to carry out this tour, it is possible that an alternative tour will be offered or the tour will be cancelled. In that case, all registered participants will be informed of changes.

Price: 25,- Euro per person from 12 years, children up to 12 years free! For groups of 8 or more people from 12 years 20,- Euro per person.

Excluded services: Travel costs to the starting point, car park fees.
