Hiking with Wanderbar to the most beautiful places in Austria and other countries - this is especially true of the hikes in Saxon Switzerland (Germany) and Bohemian Switzerland (Czech Republic)! Both regions are national parks. Saxon Switzerland and the surrounding area are part of the core area of this hiking week, of which the rock bridge of the Bastei, the Königstein Fortress and the Lilienstein are known worldwide. Views over the Elbe and the beautiful landscape will remain in your memory!

A variety of hikes in the sandstone area - wonderful viewpoints!

There are many hiking tours in the two national parks and we will pick out the best places this week. Special places like the Prebisch Gate (Pravcicka brana) in the Czech part, the Schrammstein view and many more are part of the varied hiking programme. It is pleasant that ascents from the valley to viewing spots are comparatively short, as they are in the range of low 400-600 m above sea level and hiking trails on plateaus are partly flat.

Timetable:

Sunday, 9 August 2026: Individual arrival in Bad Schandau, first meeting at the Gambrinus restaurant at 7 p.m.

Monday to Saturday, 10–15 August 2026: Hikes in the "front and the rear part" of Saxon Switzerland and in Bohemian Switzerland.

Sunday, 16 August 2026: Individual departure

Hikes require sure-footedness, a head for heights and endurance to cover the distances and altitude differences! Ladders will be part of the route.

Meeting point and first get-together of the group on Sunday, 9 August 2026:  at the Gambrinus Restaurant in Bad Schandau (Germany) at 7 pm.

Prices: 790 Euro per person aged 12 and over. If you book in 2025, it's 720 Euro per person! If you book by the end of March 2026, it's 750 Euro per person!

For groups of 5 or more people aged 12 and over, 750 Euro per person! If you book before the end of 2025, 680 Euro per person in the group! If you book before the end of March 2026, 710 Euro per person in the group.

Included services: Guided hikes during the week, information about nature and natural attractions in the region.

Services not included: Costs for arrival and departure or for trips in the region, accommodation and meal costs, costs for travel on public transport (almost entirely covered by the guest card), parking fees (if using a car), various costs such as admission fees, etc.

The accommodation is located in Bad Schandau or in the nearest places (Schmilka, Krippen, Königstein, etc.). Details about the accommodation will be provided upon registration or upon request without any obligations!

Registration and advance payment required up to 21 days before the date of the event by submitting the registration form (as described below)!

When registering multiple participants, please specify the number of participants in the "Your text" field!

A deposit of 150 Euro per person is required! Registration is complete upon receipt of the deposit, and a confirmation will be sent out. Details regarding the deposit will be provided upon registration! The remaining amount must be paid in cash on site BEFORE the start of the event or transferred in advance!

Required equipment:

• Trekking or hiking shoes and clothing appropriate to weather conditions
• Sun protection ( hat...)
• Food as required! Drinking water! Refreshments are sometimes only available at the end of hikes!
• Take your binoculars as an option
