The tour area is a forest and the tour leads from the starting point, the Waldschenke am Sternstein, to the summit cross on the Sternstein. It offers a wonderful winter experience in the Sternstein forest in almost any weather.

This tour is designed for young people aged 12 and over and adults and is also suitable for people who have never done snowshoeing before. We stay outside for at least 2-3 hours including breaks, i.e. probably longer than this amount of time. A refreshment stop is possible after the tour! Level of difficulty: fitness required for walking the specified distance and metres in altitude!

By the way: snowshoes and gaiters can be hired for a fee from Wanderbar!

Dates: Saturday, 1 February 2025 / Saturday, 8 February 2025, both in the morning and in the afternoon

Venue: Morning session at 9.30 a.m. in front of the Gasthof Waldschenke in Bad Leonfelden. End approx. 1 pm / afternoon start at 2 pm in front of the Gasthof Waldschenke in Bad Leonfelden. End approx. 17:30

Price: 25,- Euro per individual from 12 years, children up to 12 years free! For groups of 6 or more people aged 12 and over 22 euros per person. Hire fee for snowshoes (and gaiters if required): 15,- Euro. Limited number of snowshoes and gaiters available, hire in the order of registration!

Included: Guided tour, interesting facts about the region and snow

Registration required: at least five days before the relevant day by contact form, e-mail (willkommen@wanderbar-markus.at) or telephone, stating the number of participants and names! If you have any questions, please also state your telephone number and I will call you back as soon as possible!

Payment: A deposit of 10 euros per person is required! The remaining amount is to be paid in cash on site. Details of the deposit will be announced upon registration!

Required equipment:

• Hiking boots that reach over the ankles and are water-repellent or waterproof for longer periods.
• Clothing appropriate to the weather, cap, gloves!
• Sunglasses are highly recommended.
• Snowshoes and gaiters (both can be hired for a fee, see price section).
• Sticks, preferably with large discs!
• Food and drinks as required!
